Upload for review

Uploading submits your novel to the Kohana team. When it is approved it appears on the Home tab and in search for everyone, with your name as the creator.
Before you start
- You need to be logged in. Uploading without an account shows Login is required to perform this action. See Sign up.
- An internet connection is required.
- Your novel needs an icon (The novel needs an icon before it can be uploaded).
- Read the Community guidelines. Novels that break them are declined, or removed later.
Start the upload
In the Workshop, open the novel's menu and tap Upload. The Upload for review form opens. Tap Requirements & guidelines at the top any time to open the guidelines.
The form

For each language you chose

Banners must be 16:9 widescreen (a little tolerance is allowed, about 10%). Images with another shape are skipped with the message One or more images were skipped: banners must be 16:9 or a similar widescreen aspect ratio. Only the first 3 are kept (the limit is 3 per language), and every language you selected needs at least one banner.
The listing text is per language, so a Spanish reader sees your Spanish title and synopsis. The novel itself is written in whatever language you wrote it in, and can also have translations.
Send it
Tap Upload. The app checks the form (Please fix the highlighted field(s) before uploading), packages your novel, and sends it. When it works you see Your novel has been submitted for review.
What is sent
The upload is a play-only package of your novel, so other people can play it but not open it in the editor. Your images and videos are compressed a little to save space, and your original novel on your phone isn't changed.
What happens next
Your novel is now In review. Follow it in Upload status.
Tips
- Make the banners attractive. They are the first thing readers see.
- Write the synopsis for someone who has never heard of your story, and don't spoil the ending.
- Be honest about the completion percentage and the AI question. Reviewers can see both.
