Action: One step in a scene: text, a choice, a background change. See Actions overview.

Asset: A character, scenery, BGM, SFX or cutscene your novel uses.

Backup: An editable .kohab copy of your novel. See Backup.

BGM: Background music. See BGM.

Chapter: A group of scenes. A novel is a list of chapters.

Condition: A rule that decides whether a chapter, scene, folder or action plays. See Conditions.

Contains AI: The tag shown on novels that use AI-generated content. See Contains AI.

Cutscene: A full-screen MP4 video. See Cutscene.

Expression: One image of a character, such as smiling or angry. See Characters.

Export: Building your novel as an app or web page. See Export.

GUI: The look of the text boxes, choices and fonts. See GUI.

Good Ending / True Ending: The two Premium plans.

Interactive area: An invisible tap zone on the screen. See Interactive areas.

.koha: A play-only novel package. .kohab: An editable backup.

Library: The tab with the novels you have downloaded to play. See Library.

Preview: Playing your novel or a scene while you edit. See Previewing and testing.

Private share link: A link that lets anyone play an unpublished novel. See Private share links.

Scene: A group of actions played from top to bottom. A chapter is a list of scenes.

Scenery: A background image. See Scenery.

SFX: A sound effect. See SFX.

Text variable: A variable's value shown inside a line of text, like [gold]. See Text variables.

Variable: Something your story remembers, like points or a name. See Variables.
